I'm a lifetime resident of Dublin, Ireland, and have, over the last decade, developed a substantial interest in the media, with a view to a career in journalism. In particular, I'm interested in how professional journalism will adapt to a rapidly changing market.
I began as a reporter for the college news paper, and over the subsequent years worked as news Editor and Deputy Editor before being elected Editor-in-chief for the academic year 2009/2010.
I've been lucky enough to be awarded Student Journalist of the Year 2007at the Irish Student Media Awards, and in my years of editorial involvement, Trinity News was awarded Newspaper of the Year twice. I've also worked at work placements in both the Irish Independent and Irish Examiner, in which I was fortunate enough to have some work published.
