About Me |
I’m Dave, and I’m fascinated by absolutely everything.
I love digging for information and learning new things. There’s little to match the thrill of discovering that one vital piece of information that ties a story together, whether it’s found in the footnotes of a 500-page financial report or teased out of a reluctant source.
I’m passionate about finding the truth and maintaining standards in doing so. Nothing annoys me more than blatant inaccuracies caused by carelessness.
I have a degree in English from Trinity College Dublin, where I spent most of my time making newspapers, and was lucky enough to get a paying job as an Editor for a year. During that academic year, we published well above 800,000 words, which is more than the entire King James Bible.
I’m a big believer in being multi-skilled, and I can write, edit, photograph, code HTML and CSS, and I have a solid knowledge of legal and rights issues.
Over the years, I’ve developed a casual interest in and deep appreciation for good design and typography, and I love technology in all its forms.
